Lifes Little Decisions

Note: This is an actual bike that came in for repair at the shop I work at. Actually, I see stuff like this on a regular basis.

Have you ever considered that just about everything that ever happens to you is a result of a decision. Either yours, someone elses, or (usually) a combination of the two. You walk through this life living out the consequences of these decisions. Sometimes somebody is looking out for you. Sometimes you don’t even know it, but someone over-rides your decision and saves you from the potential consequences. Sometimes…….

Fastener Abuse!

I decided to be nice today. So I changed this customers choice in fastners to something a little less……shall we say, pointed?

Why did the customer present the bike for service?

This misplaced creativity reminds me of when I worked in a power tool repair shop and customers would bring in tools that had been “fixed” every which way but right.

The threads aren’t even right for the nut. My experience is that when it falls of next week (or even next month) they will bring it back to your shop and claim that you messed it up when you tuned it up.

“The threads aren’t even right for the nut. “, by the looks of it, its part screw, and it also looks like the guy who did that had a screw loose :)
