Quite a one sided article with out much scientific information as to the real cause,
They do not say how participants in the study were chosen.
What are the other considerations and circumstances of the problems?
What is the riding style, long range cross-country, down-hill, trick riding etc.?
What kind of cycling wear? Baggies and boxers, padded shorts, compression or support garments, Jock straps or commando?
What kind of bikes and what kind of seats?
Were the bikes the right size and were the seats the right size and adjusted correctly?
Here is a link to a more realistic study.

The Hornless Seat is not the answer to mountain biking.
It does look like just the perfect complement to a pair of adult Huggies.

I shall be checking my hairy conkers after every ride from now on, at least I now have a perfectly reasonable excuses when the missis complains about me arranging the vegetables whilst watching the google box!

A friend of mine has a noseless saddle on his hybrid. He loves the thing. I admit to a curiosity about them and would try one on a demo ride.

My only abnormality is a t'aint callous during the summer.

Sh!t, sorry Tim.

I got my girlfriend The Seat by Ergo. She loves it, but doesn't do anything more serious than a few miles to and from work.

One of those noseless saddle companies said they were sending me a sample. I've always been skeptical but I'm willing to try it out'; I've yet to receive it but if I get one I'll let you all know how it goes.

a male mtn biker has a hard object (saddle) smacking around soft tissue, of couse there are is going to be (bad) side effects/issues.

On one hand I don't give a crap, on the other hand I have always had my eye on this one "horn-less" saddle. Specialized branded it in the 90s, some Small company has one out now.

I saw the article yesterday. I've done a few hundred mountain bike races including 24 hour solos so according to the article I'm probably abnormal. I don't care if I'm abnormal. I want to know what bad effect it's going to have if any. So far everything seems to be working just fine and I had 2 kids after more than 10 years of mountain bike racing.
