Did You Find a Deal?
November 26th, 2007 by Arleigh JenkinsThis past Friday was Black Friday (if you missed it) and everyone was on the hunt for that perfect gift or deal of the century. Stores opened at 4am and people flocked all over.
Personally I found some great deals at Sierra Trading Post thanks to a member of MTBR giving everyone a code to an extra 20% off. As a bad person everything I ordered was for myself. A much needed sleeping bag and wool socks which are much needed for the upcoming trip to Pittsburgh. Also found ski pants and snow boots - but they aren’t bike related!

I almost bought that LAS Squalo helmet from Sierra Trading Post. Never saw it before and it looked sweet!
Although it wasn’t last Friday, a few months ago I found a deal on a brand spankin’ new Giant Anthem 2 for a little over a grand. I believe that it’s a 2006, but other than certain carbon parts and higher spec-ed bits(which can be upgraded!) it seems to be virtually the same frame as the 0. After riding it, I didn’t really care! the thing is smooth and quick! Merry Christmas/Happy Birthday to me!
