Do You Not Like to Lube?

November 1st, 2007 by Arleigh Jenkins

CyclingNews has an interesting article about a product they saw out at InterBike. It looks like Boca Bearing has come up with a type of “hard coating” that sticks to any metal. It is mostly for use in the drive train, this coating runs fast and smooth like a properly lubed drive train should with out the “lube” that can get contaminated.

What wasn’t explained very well in the article is if you are sending them YOUR new parts to get coated or if they sell them coated to you. I would think you are sending them your parts unless they are keeping their choices very low. I would be very interested in sending a SRAM PC-99 and Surly single speed cog. The ultimate durable single speed machine would be very well set up if you never had to lube your chain.
