Interbike Update 7

September 29th, 2007 by Brad Quartuccio

The show is over, its all behind me…

interbiketv.jpg

The Crooked Cog network was well represented on Interbike TV throughout the show. Hosted and produced by Cycling.tv, Tim Grahl lined up a number of industry guests for interviews and commentary on the current state of the cycling world. Watch for the video links as soon as Tim gets the files.

twinsix.jpg

Plugged just last week, Twin Six was big on the scene with a booth just across from Surly full of some of the best looking cycling clothing out there.

armandleg.jpg

Right next door to Twin Six was the Arm and Leg bicycle. Just in case you felt the need to add a bunch of crap to the front of your bike making it handle like a truck, and pedal with all four limbs. Oh, Interbike and the hucksters…

surlybigdummy.jpg

Once again the Big Dummy made an appearance, this time in a finished form. Look for these to be available come early early ‘08. Finally! Is this the final paint color? I forgot to ask, but I’d assume so.

thick.jpg

Thick Bicycles of Pittsburgh brought out the spaceframe for the Sweetskins booth. Word is that Ernesto Colnago himself want this bike for the Colnago museum. Congrats Chris!

pedrosclamp.jpgpedorstorque.jpg

Pedro’s was showing off their latest repair stand clamp and updated torque wrench. The clamp is pretty burly looking for real shop use, and the torque wrench has been updated with a wider range with an accuracy of within 4% of the actual value.

lynskey.jpg

Hardly Blue Collar - I didn’t ask how much this one goes for - but this cruiser from Lynskey is pretty. For sure.

reskin.jpg

Reskin. The product you never knew you needed until now. This is made to re-skin your ass in those times when you rub it raw on the saddle. Yeah, thats right. The best part? The multi-step anatomically correct drawings showing the multitude of placements for the Reskin patch on both the male and female figure. This one was a hit.

hoss.jpg

The Hoss MTB line keeps expanding with more color options in a whole gamut of sizes to fit all comers. All at a friendly pricepoint.

lookpedals.jpg

Look hasn’t produced a mountain bike pedal in… a very long time. Their new model seems to take a cue from Time and Crank Bros in its design. Starts at about $100 on up the line.

4% accuracy on the torque? Are they still using snap on as a supplier?

I tried that Lynskey cruiser. That thing rides better than my road bikes. It’s absolutely sweet.

Where can I find out more about That awesome carbon frame from Delta7 called the arantix? Those tubes were so light and they said “try to break it” but I could’nt. I want one before there gone.

Linda, that Arantix “isotruss” frame is amazing — a 2.5 lb frame with no rider weight limit. The designer told me they could get the frame weight to 1.5 lbs if they imposed a 150# rider weight limit. Their website is at http://delta7sports.com/

I forwarded the designer’s contact information to James @ BicycleDesign for a possible interview later on.

Did you beat GeneO at the goldsprints, Brad?
