A few hours have passed with more product, more product, more product.

As reported last week, Carbon Drive Systems is here with Spot showing off their belt drive system. Ultralight, and more polishing than I thought it would be. After seeing it, I’m willing to give it a try.

Formula has updated their brake line with a larger piston, and a larger pad giving more consistent braking. Look for this to trickle on down the line in coming years, though I suspect the larger piston means a bit of a more challenging alignment since the pads move a bit less for the given lever movement.

Hardly news at this point, but after years of poo-pooing 29″ wheels Fox is showing off their big wheel fork. Another choice for those enamored with the big ‘uns.

Marzocchi hasn’t changed their lineup much in the past few years, but these xc forks now feature remote lockout.

About $180 buys this super compact high powered LED light form Sigma. Run times from 3.5 - 11 hours on a given change of the miniscule battery pack. This seems a great supplemental light for night riding, or for those times when the commute runs into the evening.

Carbon forks are time tested as comfy on the road, and Ritchey offers a mountain version for those of us not so fond of suspension action. Also of interest was this 30deg rise stem - good quality high rise stems can be hard to fine, especially in 31.8 clamp diameters. Very useful for offroad drops, big sweeping flat bars or just to sit more upright.
