I jammed the nose of a surfboard through the bottom of my foot while surfing about 10 years ago. It left a hole you could stick your thumb in and broke 2 bones. Ordinarlily one would head to the hospital but not on a day in florida with double overhead glass. Half a roll of duct tape and part of a t-shirt kept me going for the rest of the day.
