Trek World ‘08 : Gary Fisher
August 24th, 2007 by Arleigh JenkinsThe Gary Fisher line for the upcoming year is a home run. From top to bottom all the details were put together to make a line up that compliments not only Trek but itself. Price points are more seperate, bikes are outfit with parts that are industry standards & graphics are a step above.
The new Hi Fi carbon that I wrote about in the Intro. A bit pricey for most folks looking at full suspension these days. It sure competes with the boutique brands like Titus or Intense. A 23lb all mountain/xc bike that has a limited lifetime warranty.

The Caliber has been redesigned for ‘08. Using the Hi Fi platform, but a lighter frame and less suspension. This bike won’t be released for a little while, so I don’t know prices or spec on each.

Pink is the new black. Or it was last year. What you are seeing is the new Hi Fi Deluxe GS for women. Price tag is pretty heavy at $ 2419.99. Unless you are an avid mountain biker or love the color pink the Hi Fi GS is a great bang for your bike full suspension. Utilizing mid level Shimano parts & at $1699.99 it is a bike that will last you.

Last but not least the show winner for the non 29er crowd. The new Piranha. Offered in two colors this year. “Dry” Green or Matte White it gives you the option of either having an extroverted or introverted bike. The parts list is amazing. Shimano hydraulic brakes, Shimano & Sram drivetrain, RockShox Tora with lockout, rebound & 100 mm of travel.
The price for this? $799.99!!
