A very exciting little corner of the show was the new kids bikes for ‘08. The Trek line was made lighter and the Fisher line was made tougher & a bit lighter. Now there are reasonable priced true mountain bikes for kids. Oh - that don’t weigh as much as they do.

The Gary Fisher line is called the Pre Caliber. The bikes were made lighter, but also the parts on them are made for children. Shifters are easier to turn, suspension is not as heavy and the bikes are simplified a bit.
