Blue collar is mountain biking. From the originators way back when on through the kids of today, many enthusiasts began and continue the journey with a certain down-home, do it yourself ethic. Financial means may change, riding tastes and skill progress but that satisfaction of turning a wrench oneself remains. Sound purchasing decisions make sense to us all – the rich did not get that way through superfluous spending.

By joining the fray at BlueCollarMTB I hope to pass on some knowledge, from one rider to another. Tech, bike theory, diy methods, upgrade strategy, product news – all to serve riders like yourself in keeping the miles rolling by without breaking the bank.

From you I need suggestions – now that the fresh riding season is here, what’s on your mind? Since you’ve been studying this blog before bed, your bike is surely nice and clean and bearings have been checked for proper adjustment. Got questions, spring-time or otherwise?
