Duct Tape has its place, but I think my new handyman's secret weapon is zip ties.

And velcro strips, too; great stuff.

I've used duct tape to:

-Attach seat (broken seat post)
-Keep shoe on (broken buckle)
-Keep tube in tire (blown sidewall)
-Keep tire on wheel (blown rim)
-Bandage

Everytime the magic stuff got me to my destination!
