How to Make a $50 Mountain Bike Video Camera

The Mauronic Blog shows us how to turn a one-time use video camera into a MTB Helmet Cam for $50.

With a modified bike pump mount glued to the camera it is attached to the helmet.

His first ride with the camera was a little iffy but he is working on a new mount.

    i have 2 of these cameras that i hacked usb ports into. got them with a coupon at walgreens for like $30 for the pair.

    so far, i’ve only recorded a few birthday party type things….but i’m interested in the helmet cam idea. only thing is…..who wants to watch me walk up hills and stop to drink a lot? ;)

    Ive done my own webcam, its a sony K750 cell phone, with a 1gb memory card, attached with a pair of rubbers (from a spare tube) and packing foam from dell) works nice and i fitted it in the front

    I bought one of those disgo cameras from Currys for £25. Its got a pretty good picture and its light and small to. So me and my mate just selotaped it to my full facer and we got a helmet cam from it.
