Sette Type B and Type S Lock-On Grips
November 12th, 2006 by MikeI just received the Type B and Type S Lock-On grips from Sette last week. This will be my first experience with lock-on grips. I’ve had grips in the past that would not stay in place. They always seemed to slip when I was trying to tackle a hill.

I installed the Sette Type B grips on our new Mission 1. Of course I had to remove the stock grips first, I’ll post about that later. Installation was very easy. Once the stock grips were removed it was really only a couple twists of a 3mm allen wrench to get them installed.

The Type B grips have a section of raised grippers that felt good under my fingers. So I put the grips on the handlebars loosely and rotated my wrists until they were in a comfortable position. Once there I tighted the bolts and inserted the stock end caps that came with the Mission 1. I haven’t ridden with the grips yet but check back for my first impressions and the review.

Here is what PricePoint has to say about the grips…
The Sette Lock-on Type B Grips features a full knurled pattern around the total diameter. This Slim diameter helps reduce arm fatigue and will provide direct feedback from the handlebars.
The Sette Lock-On Grips are the solution to all of your grip woes. You will never need to worry about your grips twisting even in the worst of conditions. These grips can also be installed and removed an unlimited number of times in only a few seconds thanks to the special lock-on design. Two small alloy rings, fixed by a threaded Allen bolt secure the grip to the bar insuring a twist free riding experience. To clean up the ends and provide extra safety the grips are supplied with a locking end plug.
You can pick up the Type B and Type S Lock-On grips from PricePoint for a little under $10.
