Pryme Gear Cold Bones Gloves First Impressions

November 7th, 2006 by Tim Grahl

My past experience in winter gloves is you either get comfort or you get warmth. Not both. So far the Cold Bones Gloves from Pryme Gear are proving me wrong.

While it’s not extremely frigid here in Central Virginia yet, I’ve gotten a few rides in on some colder days… days my hands would normally be pretty cold, and the Cold Bones have kept my hands pretty warm.

Here’s the “official” specs form the Pryme Gear site:

Silicone-printed Amara palm is grippy and moisture resistant. Porelle waterproof/breathable liner and a small amount of insulation makes this a great glove for spring skiing, snow boarding, or cold weather cycling. Neoprene knuckles provide a very comfortable fit with maximum flexibility.

Also, the Cold Bones retail for $39.99.

So far I’ve only ridden in the high 30s and low 40s Fahrenheit and in dry conditions. I’ll be doing future updates as I test in different and harsher conditions.
