Cannondale wants all to move to bigger bottom bracket
September 5th, 2006 by Tim GrahlToday at the first day of Eurobike, the international trade show held in Friedrichshafen, Cannondale announced it would like to offer up its bottom bracket size as a free international standard. Designer Chris Dodman said all other bicycle interfaces had increased in size in the last 100 years, the BB size is the only one to remain the same.
Cannondale introduced its 30mm spindle in 2000. The standard BB width is 24mm.

24mm/30mm wide? I don’t think so. Those are both about an inch. But if so we’d have more Q-factor options.
The 30mm refers to the axle diameter? Not the bb shell.
