Bike Rider Seeking Over $30,000 After Colliding With Skater’s Pooch

James Ford filed a lawsuit Friday against Chicago resident Mark Campbell claiming that while riding his bicycle on Sept. 4, 2004, on the scenic path, Ford collided with Campbell’s dog after the pooch strayed into his bike lane.

The suit, filed in Cook County Circuit Court, claims Ford was riding his bicycle southbound on the west side of the bike path near Belmont Harbor Drive, and the defendant was roller-blading northbound on the bike path with his dog.

The suit claims the dog strayed into Ford’s bike path, which resulted in a collision that “caused pain and suffering, disability and which also required medical treatment” to the plaintiff.

    If I had sued every time a dog chased me on a bike in my road raceing days I would be a rich man! I guss if you are hard up for cash you can make any anything cause “pain and suffering”.
