Woman suing over injury from child on bike loses appeal

A woman who was hit by a 2-year-old on a bicycle with training wheels should not be able to press the child’s parents for damages, the state’s Court of Appeals affirmed this week.

Claudia Henneberry, the woman who was struck while walking in a Fourth of July parade on the streets of the gated LaurelBrooke subdivision in northern Williamson County, sustained injuries to her lower right leg and ankle when the bicycle struck her. Henneberry, who has multiple sclerosis, and her husband were seeking $235,000 from Randy and Marcia Simoneaux for the 2003 incident.

    This is quite pathetic. What if the two year old had farted on her in conjunction with the “accident?” Would these people have sued for $ 600,000.00? The above photo appears to be one that was “borrowed” from a shark bite file. …This TWO YEAR OLD was on a “kiddie” bike with TRAINING WHEELS. Does anybody really believe this?
