Zinn and the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance DVD Review
August 13th, 2006 by MikeThe guys from VeloGear.com sent us the new Zinn and the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance DVD. The DVD features Leonard Zinn who is a very popular bike maintenance instructor. He has published books, writes for VeloNews and now has a DVD. The cool thing about this new DVD is that it is not only focused on repair, it will help you through installing new components as well.
The DVD is very easy to follow, you don’t have to be a mountain bike expert to understand what is being taught. If Zinn does say something that is a little too technical for us everyday mountain bikers they shoot up a pop up window with an explanation of the term. There are also some pretty cool graphic pop ups that highlight the component that Zinn is working on to give you a better view of what he is doing.

Zinn covers adjustments and installs on multiple component brands. He will show you how to adjust Avid, Hayes and Shimano brakes. Zinn will also cover how to patch a tire, install a “No Tubes” system or how to install your basic tube.
Leonard Zinn covers every area of mountain bike maintenance in this DVD. His instructions are easy to follow and are accompanied with some helpful graphics. The DVD format works well because you can just pop it in and click on the area of the mountain bike that you want to learn about and you’re ready to go. I would definitely recommend this video to anyone who is interested in some do-it-yourself mountain bike maintenance and repair.
Pick up your copy of the DVD for only $29.99 at www.VeloGear.com.
