Carver 96er Project

June 15th, 2006 by Tim Grahl

If you read our sister site, TwentyNineInches.com, you’ll know that I’ve been working on building up a Carver 96er frame we got awhile back.

I’ve got all the parts hangin on it now and just need to hook everything up and tune everything up.

Here’s some specs…

  • Rockshox Reba 29er Forks
  • SRAM X-9 Drivetrain - derailleurs and trigger shifters
  • Truvativ Blaze Cranks and BB
  • Titec seatpost, stem and handlebars
  • Avid mechanical disc brakes

are you building this bike up with 26 inch wheels on both ends or am I just of poor vision. I thought the 96′r had a 26 ” on the back and a 29″ on the front

I think the picture is a little misleading with the bike tipped forward. There is a 29″ on the front and a 26″ on the back.

Are you joking or serious about that?

Are you actually making bike? If yes then just let me know how it rides? Does it look cool?

I am waiting eagerly to see more new pics!!
