Shimano’s new M960 rear derailleur comes in both a medium cage (GS) or long cage (SGS) style, accomodating both narrow and wide range drivetrains. Both are compatible with Shimano’s new XTR dual control levers, providing highly accurate and efficient shifting that reacts precisely to the movement of the shift lever.

The M960 incorporates a high rigidity outer link, which embraces the pulley body to increase pivot joint rigidity.

Mega-9 compatibility ensures smooth, positive, light action shifting on 9 speed drivetrains. Each pulley uses an oversize, 11 tooth design which offers smooth, low friction rotation, thanks to their sealed bearings.

Features Shimano’s “low normal” return spring, enhancing shifting action to larger cogs under load.
