I disagree,it really depends on what type of riding you do,I ride my bike to and from work,(part dirt, part cement, and alot of in between}.On the weekends I ride xc type trails ,I don’t do any jumping or radical down hill,I just bought a new hardtail that I upgraded with higher performance componets that make it a great bike. One of the things that turned me away from full suspension bikes is that you have to put out alot more money to get anything decent, I(like many people out there), just do not have 3000.00 to spend on something that is not going to give me that much of a benefit with the type of riding I do.I’m sure full suspension bikes are great, but I know of more than one person that has been turned away from this sport because they read things like this, and buy a couple of mountain bike mags. Once they do that they sort of feel they can’t enjoy this sport fully unless they have serious cash to lay out.Thats my rant, thanks for leting me get it out there.
