Kryptonite Locks

April 24th, 2006 by Tim Grahl

Two new products I have for reviewing purposes are the Kryptonite Evolution Mini and the Kryptonite Kryptolock ATB bike locks. Although I haven’t put them through any serious security regime yet I did do the BIC pen test and they passed with flying colors.

So I’ve never actually reviewed bike locks before and short of locking it up in high crime area and watching to see if someone can steal it… I’m not sure how to go about testing them…

Any ideas?

Grab a hammer, hacksaw and bolt cutters and see what can be done to the locks. That’s what the thieves will be doing….

Provide some info on size, weight, etc. Some of us bike commute and have to lock our rides up outside, so we may carry the lock around. Does either fit in a camelback? Do the fit around two weeks, the frame, and a bike rack?
