VyaTek Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Cannondale

An Arizona technology development company, holding an equity stake in Titus Cycles, claims that Cannondale is infringing on its utility patent in the fabrication of its Six 13 road bike line.

Attorneys for VyaTek Sports notified Cannondale officials on Wednesday that the suit had been filed in an Arizona federal court. VyaTek markets the disputed technology under the trade names ExoGrid or Bi/Fusion.

What’s in dispute are the “windows” on Six 13 frames that show the mating of metal with carbon fiber in what Cannondale describes as a co-molding process.
