Doug Stuart and Full Speed Ahead Part Ways

After six years at the helm of Full Speed Ahead, Doug Stuart has stepped down as the company’s president. Since Stuart assumed the role of president, FSA expanded the scope of its business from a headset and bottom bracket maker into a high-end component manufacturer specializing in carbon fiber components.

FSA is part of TH Industries, a company based in Ta-Li City, Taiwan, and owned by Douglas Chiang and his wife, Yudi Wang. Stuart’s announcement came just days after he had returned from the Taipei Cycle trade show.

During Stuart’s tenure, FSA opened FSA Europe in Milan, Italy. The company also purchased the aerobar company VisionTech and has had success in building that brand into a category leader. It grew from a million dollar business to a business close to ten times that size.
