		<description>I feel their pain. This happened to me in Davis, California. I was used to doing a "track stand stop." I would make sure my wheels stopped turning, but I realized it was futile to argue the point with the cops who were standing a half a block beyond the stop sign to pull people over. I also wasn't against the policy of ticketing people who ran red lights, which isn't to say I don't do it on my bike yet today. The sting the Davis cops were running then was at an intersection that crossed a busy street. If they were running the sting on a quiet residential street--that would have been a cheap shot.

I didn't mention when this happened. I think it was in about 1966.

I'm not sure what any of this has to do with mountain biking. In any case there weren't any in 1966.</description>
