Flashing and dashing down the streets in their yellow jersey uniforms come the city bike medics.

They, while riding a Cannondale mountain bicycle, help those in need where ambulances and fire trucks cannot go.

Recently, 50 cents of every hamburger purchased at the Red Robin here went to the Rogers bicycle medic team, said Steve Regier, general manager of the Red Robin in Rogers. The gourmet hamburger restaurant opened here on Jan. 9. “Red Robin chose to partner with the Rogers Fire Department during grand opening week of our new Rogers restaurant as a way to continue support in our local, Arkansas communities,” said Kim McBee, director of marketing for Red Robin. “Fire Chief Wesley Lewis chose to use the donation to help the bike medic team upgrade their medical equipment to better serve the citizens of Rogers.”
