Jonathan Knight, Founder of Redraven Industries (champions of the insanely massive disc rotor among other things) picked up the prestigious Shell Livewire All Ireland Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 award.

…Jonathan’s passion for competitive downhill mountain bike racing inspired him to set up Redraven Industries in December 2004. The company currently employs four staff and designs, manufactures and retails innovative, performance-led, extreme sports equipment and apparel. Redraven’s first product to market, the “Alpine Kit”, is targeted at mountain bike riders and is a high-performance disc braking system. Redraven have recently teamed up with Queen’s University Belfast and claim to have a couple of extra-special products in the pipeline that will “revolutionise the disc brake industry”. The big teases won’t tell us what they are though.
