Fall Ridin
October 17th, 2005 by MikeWell it’s just about Fall here in Virginia and it’s definitely starting to feel like it. I woke up this morning to 40 degree weather and it felt great. I think this is my favorite time of the year, it’s starting to get cold, Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner, and overall riding seems to be more enjoyable.
I took today off from work just to relax and have a day to myself. I started it off with a nice ride a Peaks View Park on the Ibex Ignition 3. I rode the VA DeRailer race course that Tim did not too long ago. The ride started out a little shaky because I haven’t been on my bike in a while due to work and so on, but I got in a groove about 15 minutes into the ride and was able to keep a good pace. It was around 54 degrees in the woods which I think is a great temperature for a mountain bike ride.
The trail wasn’t too soggy after the crazy rainfall we had the last couple of weeks. There were only a few spots of standing water the rest of the trail was pretty dry, so my Kenda Krushers were in their element. I felt good about my performance and look forward to riding more in this weather. I think Tim and I are heading down to Roanoke, VA on Saturday for a nice long ride.

Thats Freezing!
HaHa! Not for us VA boys. It’s cold enough to bite when you first get on your bike, but once you’re in the trail for a few minutes you start warming up.
I love the fall riding, too! Enjoy yourselves this weekend!
