When was the bicycle first adapted to aquatic use? Depends on if you are talking about velocipedes, or the type of bicycle like James Starley’s Rover. Here is a bike adapted to aquatic use in 1899. the front fork is adapted to serve as a rudder, and rear wheel drives a propeller. The inventor is Charles Storms of Buffalo, N.Y.
