Interbike 2005 pictures of interest

Here’s some of the 500 some-odd pictures we took that stood out to me. Tell me your favorites in the comments.

Get it? A frame in a frame? The sad thing… the guy in the booth said a lot of the people didn’t get it. To much Vegas I guess.

Framed

All the booths that had suspension had ways for you to try it out. Fox had the best though. Actual bikes for you to throw a leg over and jump around on.

Fox Shocks

We have posted about bamboo bikes. Now we’ve seen it. The Calfee Bamboo bikes.

One of the coolest things we saw. SweetSkinz tires with crazy designs and reflective material built in to them. The pictures turned out pretty cool. I think they said somewhere over three million in developing them. They better sell a lot of them to make that up.

This company called Pinhead looks like they have a great bike locking system. Seriously… I love the idea. This is me sporting the “pinhead” head.

Carl took this picture that turned out pretty cool. Just a small example of how big all this crap is at the show.

lookup

I guess there are people that don’t like having the show in Vegas.

Vegas Sucks

Hands down the scariest thing we saw at the show. Had the voice and build of a man, but the breasts and dress of a woman. Vegas baby.

He-She

The infamous tattoo arm warmers from Primal Wear. They have such cool stuff.

This was at the Bianchi booth. Scary little monster. I’ve heard the bikes are good though.

Rollo guy

What marketing genius came up with this picture for a bike show? How many guys you’ve seen on a bike that look like this?

Scary

Wow! I know they’re getting popular but I had no idea they’d come up with their own religion.

SRAM Bible

I like this picture.

Yes it’s an oven. Yes the shoe is supposed to be in there.

Lake Oven

Carl’s new keychain. He’s happy.

And he’s wearing our shirt design we are gonna sell. We are only selling 20 of them and the people on the mailing list get a three day head start to buy them.

Oh yeah… there are already more then 20 people on the mailing list… you better sign up or be left out.

Cark Keychain

Looks painful. Weight weanies unite!

Seat

Cool picture of the display Planet Bike had up for their lights. Their own light tunnel.

The Niterider booth had their own storm trooper. I thought for a moment that I was at the wrong convention.

Storm Trooper

Louis Garneau had their own catwalk and models. Weird.

This trainer was a lot of fun to ride on. It allows you to lean to either side. Which means you have to work to keep your bike straight. Which means you are actually training.

Trainer Lean

I just thought this poster was funny.

Fat Rider

The place is ginormous. Seriously… We didnt get to everything in two freaking days.

Conference Map

Again, I just liked this picture.

We all know about the Surly flask. Now there is a flask holder for your bike from Ahearne. Is there any other company in the bike industry that defines the word “cool” like Surly?

Surly Flask and Holder

The Surly Pugsley once again. It doesn’t seem real even in person.

Pugsley

What is this thing? WHY is this thing?

SRAM contraption

And the Jittery Joe’s car. I’m downing some good Jittery coffee at this very moment. Mmmmm.

That’s all for now. I’m still tired.

They’re Biker Scouts, not Stormtroopers. Sheesh. Seriously though, I’m betting the reflective tire co. will sell a bunch of those tires on cheap kids bikes and low end rides in need of a gimmick. Very likely more than 3 million worth — as long as the knockoffs are a couple of years in coming.

    Ummm my bad.

And it’s definitely NOT sad that you knew that.
