Trying out the Lake Shoes

September 30th, 2005 by Tim Grahl

The newest pictures from the Lake Cycling booth need some explanation.

They have this high class shoe that is made of carbon and other such stuff and rings in at around $500.

But I had to give it a go cause the shoe is built to mold to your foot. How does it mold to your foot you ask? Well, you put it in the oven for a few minutes to heat it up, put it on then form the shoe to your foot. Very cool.

You can see the pictures of our experience in the gallery under folder Sept_30_11AM.

Or you could by Sole insoles for twenty bucks that do the same thing.

I don’t think anyone needs a pair of $500 shoes. I wouldnt stick $500 shoes in the oven either. Thats crazy.
