This is a merger of two conferences and according to the International Mountain Bike Association “creates an unprecedented opportunity for mountain biking advocates, land managers, trailbuilders and the bike industry to come together for education, collaboration and strategic planning for the future of mountain biking and trail access.”
IMBA’s bi-annual Summit has been held at various locations since 1996, and the North Shore Mountain Bike Event Society’s World Mountain Bike Conference has been hosted in North Vancouver since 2004.

Mike Van Abel (IMBA executive) said this will be the largest gathering of mountain bike advocates ever. It sounds like it is going to be very informative and a lot of fun with some riding, trailbuilding workshops, and parties of course. The Summit is open to the public so if you are near Whistler June 20-23 of ‘06 check it out.
