DUBLIN, Ireland–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sept. 16, 2005–Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c24383) has announced the addition of China Sourcing Report: Bicycles to their offering.

This new China Sourcing Report on Bicycles shows demand for mountain and electric bicycles is driving export growth in China’s bicycle industry.

In 2004 production of electric bicycles, a relatively new product segment, topped 6.7 million - up 70 percent from 2003. About 30 percent of these were exported. The report shows 90 percent of mainland China’s bicycle makers expect increased export sales in the next 12 months. Some 50 percent of suppliers predict exports will rise between 20 to 50 percent, while 28 percent anticipate growth of up to 20 percent.
