One Click Equals One Buck for Katrina…

I found a post on mountainbikeRACER.com about a site that is donating $1 to Katrina victims for everytime a button is clicked. Here is the post:

Friends,

No doubt we have all been shocked at the absolute disaster that Katrina
caused in the south. Now I usually try to keep my work life and my
secret identity as a single speeder with bad sideburns totally
separate, however the company I work for, which is a pretty outstanding
company, is doing something really cool. They are donating $1 to
AmeriCare for every click that they get on this website:

The company’s name is Dansko and they are willing to donate up to $20,000. Pass this on to your friends and family.

If they’re willing to donate $20,000, then donate $20,000. Call me a cynic, but it sounds like free viral advertising to me, on the back of much destruction and suffering. God Bless America!

Well of course it is. Marketing will do that but at least something good comes out of this.
