Chicago is way too flat. Events such as the L.A.T.E ride through downtown are fun, but man…. I sure missed VA.

After yesterday I realized that driving 1,000 miles straight is a dumb idea, especially if you’re by yourself. Not to mention the cost of gasoline! It must have cost me over $100 just to get my Civic to the east coast (not including the money I spent on coffee). It might not sound bad… but 4 years ago the same trip ran about $60.

Well one things for certain, Tim and Mike are going to kick my butt when I ride with them this coming week. While they’ve been biking out at Candler’s Mountain, I’ve been riding along the I & M canal. Not too challenging. I’ve gained at least 5 pounds too…. food in the midwest is awesome!

Time to get back in shape! (again)
