The following reports were taken from the Boston Police Department’s District 14 (Allston-Brighton) crime logs from the period of Feb. 21 to Feb. 28.

Boston Police arrested Justin Towne, 17, for throwing a bike off the roof of an apartment on the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Allston Street, hitting a young woman on the head early Saturday morning.

“I threw a bike off the roof and hit that lady over there,” Towne said.

The victim’s boyfriend later told the police that someone threw a beer can off the roof of the same building earlier and hit her while they were walking. After yelling at the person on the roof and attempting to confront him, the victim’s boyfriend watched as a 10-speed bicycle plummeted from the roof, causing the victim massive head trauma.

Emergency Medical Technicians transported the victim to Beth Israel Hospital.
