Ray’s Indoor MTB Park

August 9th, 2005 by Carl

Skaters get their skate parks… and now we finally have a place to play. Seven years after he started mountain biking, Ray Petro decided that he was sick of winter weather and went on to build a mountain bike park featuring all the joys of our sport… minus the nasty weather. Granted, its closed for rennovation until the fall of this year… but I’m definitely going to have to stop by sometime before Christmas. I frequently drive through Ohio and and it looks like next time I do I’ll have to stop and spend the day riding at Ray’s.

Prices don’t seem too bad either. A six month membership is $79, and day passes are $9 for members. And hey…. who wouldn’t want to hone their mtb skills in a 66,000 square foot industrial building rigged with toys only we could enjoy? I can’t wait to check it out!

    Ray,

Just saw your indoor MTB Park on T.V. Makes me wish I was a rider. But since I am not,
I was wondering what it would be like to take a bike through a cork-screw. Start out on the
top and wind your way down, going sideways of course. Much like an amusement park slide.

Looks like you thought of everything in your park. So I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already
    thought of this.
