Bicycle retailers look to profit from Armstrong one last time

Later this month, American cyclist Lance Armstrong will retire from the sport he has dominated, possibly with an unprecedented seventh Tour de France victory.
If he does, many in the bicycle business will be loath to see him go. Armstrong, who gained national attention for his return to the sport after a battle with cancer, is an icon among cyclists; an athlete who dates rock singers, whose endorsement is used to sell everything from cable service to cars, and who leaves rivals and spectators out of breath. Locally, bike sellers have been cashing in on that persona for years.

why are you all so sure he’s retiring…maybe from the tour, but anyone who has a passion for cycling as he does can’t give it all up for good, it’ll drive him neurotic…expect to see him explode on other cycling scenes
