Somerville Massachusetts frame builders Independent Fabrication were recently selected to participate in a CNN television program called The TurnAround. The show pairs an up and coming business with a mentor from a more successful company—in this case CEO Jeff Swartz from Timberland.

The hour-long episode will take viewers behind the scenes for an up-close and personal look at an American, employee-owned bicycle frame builder. Readers may be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of former Dirt Rag employee, Joel Kennedy, who has worked his way up the ranks at Independent Fabrication, from shipping to brazing on frame fittings.
