Same Lawsuit, Different Article

April 20th, 2005 by Tim Grahl

Remember the jackass that has filed a lawsuit because he fell while mountain biking and sustained “soft-tissue injuries” and a fractured vertebrae? Well the lawsuit is for $1,150,000.

Everyone, including me, knows you have to be a little nutty to be a mountain biker and there are risks that go along with it. That’s why I have Aflac Insurance. The idea that a guy is actually suing a trail system for this is so ridiculous. The potential rippling effects this type of lawsuit could cause if he wins could be devastating to the sport. Pisses me off.

Oh yeah… his wife has also filed a lawsuit for “nursing and travel expenses as well as a loss of care and companionship due to her husband’s injuries.”

Your legal system really sucks. IMHO you should tear it down and rebuild. Stupid people seems to win all the time at the expence of others.

Ooops. When U Assume U Make an Ass out of U and Me. I’m used to hear about silly lawsuits in the U.S. Don’t have a clue how it is in Canada. I rest my case ;)

Which goes to show that it’s obviously not out of the realm of possibility here in the US of A
