OnGuard Locks Follow Up
April 18th, 2005 by Guitar TedBefore going through the hassle of calling OnGuard, I decided to go back to the place where I bought the lock, Sports Chalet. I figure, I will try there first and if they didn’t want to replace the lock, I can always go to Onguard directly.

I was taken aback by the courteous clerk, he told me that there wouldn’t be any problems to exchange the lock. So I walked over to the bike area and picked up an updated Doberman 5027 with a different key design from my old lock.
The clerk did some tapping of the register buttons and I was done. I walked out a satisfied customer with a brand-new lock.
But when I got to work, I received a message from the folks at OnGuard. They said that if I send my lock back they will replace it for free and cut me a check for the postage that I paid. Looks like I would have my lock replaced either way. OnGuard has made me a loyal customer!
