On the Cheap Glasses
April 18th, 2005 by Tim GrahlIf you haven’t picked up the newest Dirt Rag issue… I’m not far ahead of you. I let my subscription run out and just got around to picking it up at my LBS. Man o man I love this magazine.
The third article in is “The DirtBag Way: The BugEye” where the writer makes the case for losing the expensive riding glasses and going for the cheapy protective glasses that you can get at a hardware store for five bucks. You can get them in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and weights all for less then the price of the cheapest bike glasses. That’s right up my alley. I’m gonna grab me a pair or two this week to try out.

Grant Peterson of Rivendell has been saying this for years. Still, as Style Man, I must advise road cyclists not to show up in cataract glasses on my ride, please.
please….
if you ride a road bike….
you must have sleeves on your jersey
and
expensive glasses on your head
now if you are going out on your mountainbike…
let function be your fashion!
no doubt ….no doubt
just let it flow,
and let the woods take over
