Vail, Colo. (April 11, 2005) — After a long hiatus, championship mountain bike racing will return to Vail during the fourth annual Teva Mountain Games. Event organizers announced that NORBA has chosen the cross-country mountain bike race at the Teva Mountain Games to be the Colorado state championship race. Officially entitled the Nature Valley Colorado Cross-Country NORBA Championships, the race will take place June 4 on Vail Mountain.

“After just two years of organizing a mountain bike race at the Mountain Games, we are honored to be chosen as an official NORBA race this year,” said Joel Heath, president of Mountain Games, LLC. “We expect this NORBA race to attract some of the country’s top riders, who will join the world-class kayakers, climbers, runners and adventure racers that will already be competing in Vail.”
