Mr. Berrecloth’s dare-devilish nature and amazing skills have made him an icon in a sport that didn’t really exist until he took it to the extreme. Before him, there were guys on Vancouver’s north shore who rode mountain bikes in unusual ways up and down rugged terrain. But it was Mr. Berrecloth who morphed BMX-style trick riding with mountain bike racing to produce free-ride mountain biking, an anything goes pursuit of altitude and amplitude.
