The Wright Bros

O.K. so we are all familiar with Orville and Wilbur Wright, right? You know the first to fly, Kitty Hawk, NC, all that jazz. Well that’s not all the Wright bros were known for. Back in the late 1800’s they were first and foremost bicycle shop owners. At first they only sold bikes made by other companies but soon began making their own bikes. One of the bikes that they made was called the St. Clair after Arthur St. Clair the governor of the Northwest Territory.

While visiting my daily sites today I came across a link to a bicycle shop called Cycles Gaansari. They paid homage to the Wright brothers back in 2003 by resurrecting two if the bros bikes, the Van Cleve and the St. Clair. Cycle Gaansari is a cool little shop in Dayton, OH. I like the nice hometown feel although their prices to fit the blue collar budget. Check out their site. They have a lot of cool nostalgic pictures of bike races and racers.
