Hamilton Faces a Two-Year Ban
March 11th, 2005 by MikeOlympic cycling time-trial champion Tyler Hamilton, fighting a charge of blood doping, could learn his fate this weekend, more than a week after his hearing before the North American Court of Arbitration for Sport in Denver.
Hamilton tested positive for illegal blood transfusions both at the Athens Olympics and at the 2004 Vuelta a España. He has denied blood doping, but if the charges stick he faces what could be a two-year ban.
Hamilton’s lawyer, Howard Jacobs, said some of the evidence heard at last week’s CAS hearing included testimony from scientific experts as to the validity of the test. The test has been approved by international sports governing bodies, including the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Here’s hopin he’s found innocent
That’s really too bad that alot of the athletes are doping. In a way, they are just a bunch of hypocrites. I do hope Hamilton is innocent that way the sport of cycling doesn’t get as tainted as Baseball and other main stream sports.
