I have found my dream trip. A week long mountain bike trip to Alaska. I have had the opportunity to take a trip to Alaska once before, but it was a long time ago and I didn’t get to see any of the interior of the state. Since I hate the heat, it is the perfect place to be in the summer. Almost 24 hours of daylight and during the day you will be comfortable in just a t-shirt.

Alaska Backcountry Bike Tours has posted a press release about their 2005 tours. They range from 2 day trips to the grueling 9 day trips. Mountain biking on singletrack through some of the most beautiful places on earth…

The 2 day trips are just under $400 and the prices go up from there. Each tour only allows eight people, which is nice, and they go from June to September.

We will be starting a new non-profit collection here at the site to help the Blue Collar boys get to Alaska for one of the tours. Anyone who donates will be given a set of prints from the pictures we take and an authentic Alaskan key chain.
