Wednesday Night Riding

March 3rd, 2005 by Mike

I actually got off work on time yesterday so I stopped off at Bikes Unlimited on the way home. I gave them the Gravity Dropper seatpost to install on the Diamondback XSL Trail. They said they would have it back to me today and I should be able to get a ride in tonight. I keep you posted on how the Gravity Dropper works.

Raleigh M80

After my stop I went home and got out the Raleigh M80 for a ride around my neighborhood. It was freakin cold outside but it felt good to get a ride in. The Raleigh M80 is a nice change from my Mongoose Inferno. The disc brakes are nice and dependable along with the shifting (with a little help from Bikes Unlimited). The Shimano Deore M510 shifters took a little while to get used to but they are very responsive. And I’m lovin the clipless shoes. I pulled some pretty steep hills and being able to push and pull the pedals really helped out. I think my shoes are a little too big though because I feel some movement when I’m on the up stroke. The ride was fun and I’m looking forward to another one tonight.
