If you’re looking for the adventure of a lifetime, as Alaska residents will tell you, you have to get off the beaten track and see the real Alaska. And that is exactly where Alaska Backcountry Bike Tours takes you.

(PRWEB) March 3, 2005 — From June to September, the biking and hiking expedition company offers spectacular two, four and nine-day mountain excursions into the heart of south Central Alaska. Covering miles of the state’s premier singletrack mountain biking trials in the Chugach National Forest, the unparalleled itinerary showcases some of Alaska’s most spectacular scenery.

“Our ultimate objective is to give adventurers a unique travel experience. We want to show them the places and scenery not so easily found by the average visitor to Alaska,” noted Tony Berberich, owner and lead guide. “Our commitment to well-organized tours featuring small groups ensures that each guest leaves with extraordinary memories, new friends, new skills and an appreciation for Alaska and its culture.”

Ah, my home state. I was born in Keni, Alaska, which is on a southern peninsula. I was there a couple years ago and did some hiking in the mountains near my hometown and it is definitely worth going at least once. Watch out for the bear though.
