A Long Ride Home

February 24th, 2005 by Tim Grahl

The eight hour drive is over and I’m sitting at my parent’s five year old computer with a 14.4mps connection trying to play some catch up. I was also reminded why I am happy to be living in the VA away from big cities like Atlanta. We drove for seven hours with no traffic, then we hit Hotlanta at 3:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday and we end up sitting in traffic. Seriously, there is no need for that. Not to mention I don’t like seeing the town I grew up in change so much in what seems like just a few years.

Anyway, this will be a long, relaxing weekend with my parents that we have been looking forward to for awhile. Come monday though I am back training on the Monocog for the next mountain cross race. Now get a couple rides for in for me this weekend since I’ll be without my two wheeled companion for a few days.
